The 1200+ Km Bike Trip --- Day2- Rishikesh to Pakhi-Joshimath The day of Landslides : Landslide 1:  We had our breakfast early and started our journey to Joshimath by 7:45-8am. We left Bamboo hut to move towards Dev Prayag. As we moved few kilometers the noise in the bike chain became loud. I had been neglecting it for some time now, in-fact the noise had started at the Upper Canal Road but it was not bad as it was now. Anyways ignoring it we continued the journey. The front brakes had also gone worse, the brakes issue was known but the noise in the chains had aggravated. We had just ridden few kilometers; we had to stop as the road was blocked due to a small landslide. A JCB was clearing the landslide rubble. We had to halt for around 20 minutes before the rubble was cleared. While waiting for the landslide to be cleared we just adjusted and tightened the bike chain so that the noise reduced.   The 1200+ Km Bike Trip --- Day1- Gurgaon to Rishikesh The Beginning : We started our journey from Gurgaon at around 7:45 am. Yes a late start, perhaps we could have started early morning, but again we laid back, chilled out Engineers have  in our DNA to be just in time. Anyways we filled the fuel tanks on the NH2 (Delhi) and started the Journey on our "Bajaj - Avengers". After a bit of struggle to be on the right path, we finally figured out the correct way. As we started moving towards Raj Nagar E xtension it started raining. This was the start of the rains that stayed with us the complete trip. Our Polybags and rain wear were tested for the first time. It was already 9:30 - 10 am, our first stop for loo and some refreshment was at Raj Nagar Extension.  Driving through the traffic at  Raj Nagar and Murad Nagar we crossed a bridge over a canal, took left from the Murad Nagar Police Chowki to take the Upper Ganga Canal Road. The Upper Ganga Canal Road : The Upper Ganga Can

We are of the second kind. If you are becoming judgmental about Engineers like us then it's the right time to read no further. This travelogue is to share experience of us, two Engineers who embarked upon our Maiden 1200+ km Voyage on our bikes. Here I share my personal story of the challenges we faced and how we overcame them. Opportunity :  It was mid August 2019, two holidays in a week one floating and one National Holiday, what it meant  was if one takes 3 days leave then clubbing with week-ends we have 9 Days of Leaves. This was the right time to fulfill our long cherished  desire of a long trip on our Motor Bikes.  Plan :  If we could snuggle 3 days leave then we could go on a Bike Trip to "Valley of Flowers".
