Art Resort Goa - Art Lovers' Paradise
We were on our trip to Goa, we had chosen Palolem, South Goa as our place of stay between 1st March 2022 and 6th March 2022. This is the time we explored Art Resort Goa. To be honest it became our best hangout place. We had read about it as a must visit place when in Palolem and Art Resort Goa did not disappoint us.
We were a regular visitor to the place. We spent our evenings over finger licking fresh food and Live Performances. During day we spent time taking art lessons from the art teachers and mentors at the place. We also took a Massage at the Ayurvedic Massage Parlor in the complex. We also attended a fair that was organized in the premise which had various food items, musical instruments, art work etc for sale. In all we just thoroughly enjoyed the place and in a way kind of saved our holiday with some refreshing activities at the place. We did not get a chance to live at the resort but I am sure it would have been an equally good experience.
Here I share my experience and information that we gathered about the place so that one may know about the fabulous resort and fellow travelers planning to visit Palolem can spend their quality time at the resort.

Art Resort Goa - Art, Art Gallery and Artists:
We were told that in 2010 the non-profit-art-project, Art Resort's Art gallery was founded. Since then, Art Resort has been hosting various workshops, exhibitions, vernissages etc of artist from various fields of art. Talented young artist portray their art at Art Resort's Art Gallery. More than 60 Internationally acclaimed artist have displayed their work at Art Resort.
Art Resort works with the Goa College of Art and with various other universities, colleges and art schools spread over India.

Art Resort Goa - Live Performances:
While we were at Art Resort we got an opportunity to witness and experience Live Performance of Artists. It was a band singing and playing some all time favorite Hindi and English songs and some remixes & innovations that they had composed.
The atmosphere was just amazing. We enjoyed the Live Performances over fingerling snacks and food.

Art Resort Goa - Art Classes:
While we were at the Art Resort we got an opportunity to learn painting from the mentors at Art Resorts. Our mentor was himself a well trained and well educated Artist. He himself had painted some fabulous paintings which were on display for sale.
He took painting classes between 10:30 - 11 am in the morning till 4 - 4:30 pm in the evening. It is best to talk with the mentor beforehand for his time so as to avoid any disappointment.
The painting class fee was Rs. 800 which included the art lessons, the canvas and the paints. You can carry back the painting that you painted. It was such a nice experience to learn and submerge yourself in the world of colors.

Art Resort Goa - Cottages:
The Art Resort has a range of cottages including Honeymoon Cottage, Superior + Cottage, Superior Cottage and the Art Prive Cottage. They are well equipped with all the modern amenities. They are priced as per the cottage type and the season in which you are booking them. Although we did not get an opportunity to stay at any of the cottages we are sure the experience of staying in these cottages would be as good as the experience and ambience we enjoyed at Art Resort Goa.

Art Resort Goa - Restaurant and Bar:
The Art Resort has an in-house Restaurant and Bar. The Restaurant serves Indian and European delicacies. Both Vegetarian and Non-vegetarian food is available.
We tried Indian and Italian food. The food was freshly prepared and finger licking tasty. The food is just a delight to your taste buds.
The bar serves various kinds of beverages that could be enjoyed over delicious food and Live - Performances. This place is Art and Music Lovers Delight.

Art Resort Goa - Ayurvedic Massage:
The Art Resort has an in-house Message parlor. They offer various kinds of Massages. We had previously also tried Ayurvedic Massage, hence were tempted to try it again and hence forth we took this experience as well. We enjoyed the experience. It is best to talk to the Massage parlor staff to decide upon the Massage Type that you need and finalize the timing of the massage.

Art Resort Goa - Workshops and Fair:
While we were at Palolem we were told that a workshop for kids is underway. Due to our schedule we did not get a chance to attend the workshop.
Also a fair was organized in the premises, where we saw various artists selling different kind of artwork. Various kind of food items were also on sale. The experience of the fair was also good.

Best Time to Art Resort Goa:
As locals suggested best time to visit Goa and hence Art Resort is between October and March as then the temperature in Goa is in the moderate range. Goa experiences scorching heat between the summer months of April and Early June, this is the time that people generally avoid visiting Goa. The Monsoon starts in June and ends in September.
As per the information we got during our conversation, Art Resort is open for stay between 15th October and 15th May. The Resort is closed for stay between 16th May and 14th October. Having said that it is best to get in touch with the Resort to get the latest information.
The resort segregates between the various time periods during the time it is open for stay and hence accordingly the booking charges vary. 20th December to 15th January is categorized as the Peak Season. The Main Season is between 15th October & 19th December and between 16th January and first week after Easter. The time between First week after Easter and 15th May is considered as Off Season.

How to reach Art Resort Goa:
Art Resort Goa can easily be reached if one reaches Palolem. It is a well known place in Palolem. It is on Palolem Beach Ourem road in the south Palolem area, near the small church. Another entrance can be seen from the beach side as well if one is on the Palolem Beach.
In general Goa is well connected to the world via Goa International Airport. It is also connected to various other Indian States and Cities via road and railways. Major Railway Stations being Margao and Vasco-da-Gama.
Art Resort is around 2 km from the Canacona railway station. Normally people hire a taxi/Cab for commuting from the Airport or a major railway station. The resort also arranges for pick and drop to the Airport.
