Road Route– 

Joshimath --  Rudra Prayag -- Srinagar-- Dev Prayag--  Rishikesh

Distances-

Govindghat to Joshimath: 21 km
Joshimath to Rudra Prayag: 114 km
Rudra Prayag to Srinagar: 33 km
Srinagar to Dev Prayag  : 38 km
Dev Prayag  to Rishikesh: 74 km

Road Route– 

Start early in the morning from Govindghat/Joshimath. Get your fuel tanks fuel tanks filled and start your decent back towards Rishikesh. As the way is downhill you can easily drive down. Keep halting for meals etc and keep yourself hydrated. Wear cotton full sleeve clothes and pants to save your-self from Sunburns. Apply Sunscreen Creams etc if need be. You can wear gloves or wrap your palms with handkerchiefs while driving the bike to save from sunburns.
You can halt for the night at Dev Prayag. If you have 2-3 hours of daylight left you can drive down to Rishikesh and halt for the night at Rishikesh.

***Life Savers: In case you don’t get booking anywhere or for last minute plans one can stay and dine at Gurudwara at Rishikesh. The Food (Prasad) and Lodging is free of cost.

** Carry Vaseline and Sunscreens to save yourself from Sunburns and charred lips & cheeks. Also when you are travelling by road during rainy season in India carry heavy duty rain coat,  rain paints, wind cheaters, rain resistant boots etc as there is heavy rain pour and only heavy duty rain cover will last. Carry clothes that dry soon so even if they get wet they dry quickly.
