Nivasaa - A Resort in Lap of Nature

Nivasaa - A Resort in Lap of Nature:-

It was end of August 2021, I was on my customary visit to Dehradun, that is when we first heard of Nivasaa. Probably the tagline for the Resort says it all Nivasaa, The Nature's home. We heard that it is place in midst of the forest where people can go and relax. The place is not far off from Dehradun. One can come over to this place for a day or can also plan to stay in the Swiss Tents available in the complex. Anyways we were keen to explore the place.

Nivasaa Location:

Nivasaa is not too far from the center of Dehradun. It is ahead of Raipur on the Thano road. It is on the way towards the Airport via Thano, few kilometers ahead of the Dehradun International Stadium. It probably takes around 30 minutes to reach Nivasaa from Dehradun. The entrance to the place is off the main road. One has to do a bit of off-roading for around 600 meters to reach Nivasaa. It is a sort of a dirt track that takes you to Nivasaa. It is bit of a uphill track, so narrow that only one vehicle can cruise through it at a time.

Nivasaa - Swimming Pool, Lawn and the Mango Orchard :-

As you park your vehicle on the parking area, the first thing that you see is the Swimming Pool area. When we visited the place we could see a well maintained Swimming Pool. Few kids were enjoying in the Swimming Pool. Just ahead of the Swimming Pool you see the entrance alley. As you enter the alley, you see a sprawling lawn on your right and a Mango Orchard on your left. Mongo Trees are planted along the walking alley that takes you to the restaurant.

The lawn is an ideal place for kids to play. We were told various events are also organized in the lawn. We were told that recently a video shoot for a song sequence was also shot at the Resort. The lawn is a place where people sit and enjoy. There are a few canopies built where people sit and enjoy their food. Arrangements are also done for the guests to dine in the open lawn area as well. We sat in one of the canopies and enjoyed the delicious food. We saw all the kids playing, running and enjoying in the lawn area. It is an ideal place to spend time and enjoy the serene nature all around. When we visited the place it was rainy season and the vivid colors of nature were all on display.

Nivasaa - Restaurant:

The Entrance alley ends at the Restaurant area. The restaurant has a covered area where people sit and dine. Other than the restaurant people sit in the lawns as well. Food is delivered to the guests from the restaurant to the lawn area as well.

Nivasaa - Swiss Tents:

As you take a left turn, midway to the Restaurant from the Entrance alley, crossing the Mango Orchards you come to the ground where you have the Swiss Tents. We were told that the Swiss Tents were Air-Conditioned and people could stay in the Tents. The place was serene and midst of nature. Other than the Swiss Tents, we saw few more accommodation coming up.

Nivasaa - Other Things To Enjoy:

Nivasaa is in midst of forest area. You would see lush green canopy all around. We were told there were quite a few treks all around where people could trek through the jungle and enjoy.

We could see small water canals, water streams and small water falls in the vicinity.

We could also see few passages through the woods that probably linked the surrounding villages to the main road.

In all we had a good time at Nivasaa. We spent some quality time with family enjoying the serene surroundings and good food. Kids and Adults equally enjoyed the place. We found it good place to relax and have fun with friends and family.
